FOUNDER & CEO
Andrew Lyonette brings over two decades of specialized expertise in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and service management to SmartEdge Academy, having progressed from foundational roles in systems administration to senior architectural positions with leading organizations across multiple sectors.
His distinguished career includes key leadership roles at BJSS, where he architected cloud and identity platforms for UK government health programs, Centrica PLC, where he orchestrated major cloud migration initiatives, and the UK's Medicines & Healthcare Regulatory Agency, where he spearheaded service management solutions and automation platforms.
Throughout his nine-year tenure at Westcoast Limited, Andrew demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities, advancing from Lead Infrastructure Engineer to Head of Infrastructure, Datacenter, and Comms, where he managed both internal infrastructure and customer-facing cloud services across Europe.
Andrew's professional credentials include over 25 industry certifications from Microsoft, Cisco Systems, and the Open Group, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Reading, establishing him as an authoritative voice in cloud technology implementation and education.
